Come and enjoy a trip around Medieval Poland! Poland has always been a place where east and west meet. In the 10th century Mieszko I maintained close contact with the Byzantine court of Dowager Empress Theophano helping to introduce the rich culinary culture of Byzantium. There was great influence from Italy given Poland’s special relationship to the Papal See and Casimir the Great had an Italian Garden at Lobzow in the 1300s. In the late 16th century, Queen Bona Sforza introduced a number of new world vegetables through Turkish connections in Istanbul. Tatars introduced unique delicacies from the far border in the Tatra Mountains. Your feast will bring together all of these influences to titillate your palate and fill your stomach.

ALERT: Major construction on I-285 this weekend, including the exit ramp from I-285SB to I-20 EB closed and lane closures between GA-400 and I-85. Expect delays and consider taking alternate route to get to I-20.
Make your best route to I-20 East of Atlanta.
Take Exit 105 and head north toward
Rutledge.
At the dead end, turn left
and take your first right (Fairplay St.).
Keep going until you cross over a damn,
then take the first right (Camp Rutledge
Rd.).
This road will go straight, eventually
transitioning into a dirt road. It will
keep going forever, but will bring you into
camp). Follow the signs to the Camp
Rutledge Group camp.
SCA direction signs will be posted!
